Maharishi's Global News Conference His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi dedicated today's Global News Conference to the Supreme Knowledge he received from his beloved Master, His Divinity Swami Brahmanand Saraswati, Jagatguru Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, Himalayas.* Maharishi expressed his satisfaction with the profound level of experience of higher states of consciousness which has been achieved by participants of the Invincible America Course°, and declared the awakening of a new level of experience—the level of Madhuchandas—the fully awake state of Transcendental Consciousness, known in the Vedic Tradition as the Devata level. Maharishi quoted from a timeless verse from Rk Veda to describe this reality which is experienced by more and more individuals today who practise Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme: Richo Ak-share parame vyoman yasmin Deva adhi vishwe nishedhu yastanna Veda kim richa karishyati ya it tad vidus ta ime samasate." 'All the impulses of Creative Intelligence reside in that unmanifest, indestructible field of Ak-kshara—the transcendental field of intelligence—the Unified Field of all the Laws of Nature. He whose awareness is not open to this reality (he who does not practise Transcendental Meditation), the existence of this reality—the existence of pure knowledge and its infinite organizing power—is of little use to him.' For fifty years Maharishi has been teaching that the supreme goal of human life is to unfold this level of reality where the administration of the universe resides, and this experience, he said, is characterized by bliss. 'So we want to reside on that level where the Will of God is always awake, and that means handling the entire administration of the universe. There where the control of the infinite universe is based.... There is the superiority of human existence, and fortunately we are on the level of practically achieving this....the Will of God. And what is the Will of God? Man created in his own image....' 'Now I want everyone to come to that level of holiday. And this eternal holiday is the eternal state of Atma (the Self ). Ayam Atma Brahm (the Self of everyone, that is Brahm). So let's have that all-winning level of awareness and get to that level.' —Maharishi Maharishi is looking today to see how many individuals can strike the door of Total Administration of the universe on this highest level now, and then he wants to give to them the understanding of this most exalted level of experience. It is good, he said, not to give the knowledge before the experience, but once the experience is there then Maharishi would give the complete understanding of it to the experiencer. Then absolutely anything can be accomplished, including perpetual world peace for all times in the future. All that is necessary, Maharishi advised mankind, is to connect the ordinary waking state with the transcendental state through experience of Transcendental Meditation. 'In this we are doing justice to Guru Dev's knowledge.' *Maharishi's Master. Describing his meeting with Shri Guru Dev, Maharishi once said: 'As a thirsty man arrives at a well, so I arrived at the feet of my Master. The quest of a perfect Master was there. The first sight of his personality was enough to make me surrender at his feet.
